Using
an exclusive unbalance measurement technique, the Model STR Torque Converter
balancers can measure the total part unbalance, isolate the effects of any residual
unbalance in the internal components, and calculate a correction solution for
the outer shell alone. This is the most accurate method of balancing assembled
torque converters.
Work cell dimensions will vary depending on machine configuration and part loading
requirements.

The Model STR Torque Converter
Balancer is a unique machine in our STR product line. It is designed to measure
and correct the residual part unbalance in fully assembled torque converters.
Features:
Independent servo-driven upper and lower spindles.
Dynamic unbalance measurement via exclusive measure-index-measure
method.
Unbalance correction via automatic strip feed, cutoff and
welding of variable length weights onto converter housing.
Loadable by hand, gantry or robot cell integration.
CBI-2000 controlled servos and measurement/correction
process.
Standard pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
Full perimeter guarding.
Typical production rate of 60 parts/hr or greater.
